Blackberries fruit of the fae

Beautiful, shiny, purple blackberries are now producing their luscious, juicy fruits at this time, the end of August. Full of vitamins, antioxidants and many other health-giving properties, make the most of them but beware the vicious thorns.

Steeped in ancient folklore, legend and magic blackberries are the fruit of faerie but should never be picked after the 29th of September as the devil will have spat on them.

Ruled by the earth and the sacred, wild feminine they offer the energy of protection by their thorns and the encouragement of prosperity by their prolific growth and abundance.

Use the dried leaves and roots as incense or carry them in a medicine pouch to enjoy all their magical benefits as the Autumn approaches.
